My dad's interested in the RX. Everyday since sunday he's been mentioning it to me.
On Monday, he said David Chew (the lexus salesman) called him and said the Rav4 Deluxe new price is 90K (thought to be estimated 87K initially). So I said that since the new Honda's CRV facelifted is gonna come out soon and price to be at 91K, the old crv might be on sale, so he told me to call KAH motors but I refused to. I do not appreciate the words "Kah Motors Honda" on my car plate.
Tuesday he said David Chew said that the lexus hybrid 400's roadtax is 4K a month despite the rebate of going green.
Today he said David said the RX350 isnt bad either. So I said the Rx400hybrid's petrol consumption 1lit = 12.5Km and if Rx350 can match up, daddy said its possible. :O
In all credit to David, he's a pretty good salesman. A very persuasive one at that. The Rx350 is priced at (if im not wrong) 136K and the Rx400 is 160K. It is 50K to 70K diff from Rav's 90K.
And that amount of money can get me a 1) toyota vios (priced43K), or 2) Mitsubishi lancer (45K), 3) Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8 (60K), 4) Peugot 206 1.4 hatchback (50K) or even 2 China made QQ cars!
We'll see how far David's persuasion go.
Let's start at the beginning. How did my dad, who was not interested in anything higher than his merce/bmw/lexus got interested in a damn SUV who cannot take conering? :D A huge thankyou to steffy ho. hehheh. Although I'm suspiciously suspicious that RX cannot ride over curbs anyway. Its not a 4x4 right?
Ya'know where at some point, luxury becomes neccessity? My dad got slightly obsessed with the quietness of his lexus that he cannot stand sitting in the ford - no matter whose driving. And in the market, there isnt any car that can match the quietness of a lexus. :D
So maybe there is hope!
